I am broadly interested in community-based program development, adaptation, and evaluation with under-served populations, with particular emphasis on multi-stressed families and Latino/a populations. My research and clinical efforts also focus on the intersections of privilege and oppression and issues of cultural competence in the promotion of social justice. Most recently, my research activities have included investigation into the ways in which group treatment programs for domestic violence can promote change among diverse male batterers.

I have been practicing for the past four years at the Family and Child Clinic of Michigan State University as a marriage and family therapy intern providing therapy services from a systemic framework to families, couples, and individuals. I have also volunteered therapy services at Care Free Medical in the Lansing community and facilitated family reunion workshops for the Michigan National Guard.
