Graduate Student, Criminal Justice

Jina Lee is a doctoral student in the Criminal Justice program. Jina’s research interests include intimate partner violence and violence against women, with a particular focus on help-seeking behavior among abused women. She is especially interested in exploring the factors that lead to victims’ decisions to leave abusive situations. Ultimately, she aspires to identify effective ways to assist victims of intimate partner violence so that they have access to formal and informal resources. Additionally, she has been involved in research projects that focus on crime control effects of criminal sanctions on recidivism of intimate partner violence and victim-offender relationships in intimate partner homicide.
